Do you know the 4 Cs of diamonds? Here is the 5th

Like us, diamonds are unique. Whether they're precision industrial tools or the centerpiece of a queen's crown, their characteristics determine their value and destiny.

Called the 4 Cs, these characteristics are well known in the jewelry world.

The cut determines the brilliance of the gem, with each facet carefully determined to direct the light to create that incomparable sparkle.
Clarity reveals visible impurities at 10x magnification. STATEMENT uses VS grade diamonds, which indicates that although invisible to the naked eye, very small inclusions are detectable to the trained eye of the gemologist and his loupe.
Color and its variations are difficult to discern, even for experts. Grades range from D, which signifies exceptional white, to Z, for yellow to brown stones. With a grade of G, STATEMENT diamonds are among the "rare whites" that are almost completely colorless.
Carat is the easiest factor to determine, as it's the diamond's weight. But be careful, a heavier diamond isn't necessarily more beautiful. An improper cut could make it appear smaller or duller than a well-cut diamond of a smaller size.

For STATEMENT, the fifth C is actually the most important: Trust . Knowing your suppliers and their supply chain is an essential duty in contemporary jewelry. A diamond can be worth millions, but the price we will always refuse to pay is the human and environmental costs.
